Microsharp is a small, innovative private company, which is developing optical films, integrated display screens, and optical modules in the areas of displays, security, illumination and renewable energy. It is active in the area of complex films for plastic electronics. Our technologies include diffusers, brightness enhancement films, solar concentrators, rear projection screens and light guide products based on novel polymeric structures.

OPTICS ENGINEER

To work on a number of projects in the development of novel optical film and optical module designs. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to progress various projects including design of solar concentrators, active films such as OLEDs on plastic, and micro and nanostructured optical films.

We would be interested in candidates with a degree in optical or sensor engineering - PhD or MSc, to join us in research and development of innovative designs and new optics technology concepts. Good knowledge of optics and imaging, to undertake development of detailed optical designs for our applications, using optical design software and CAD packages. Candidates should be familiar with TracePro, Zemax, Mathematica and MATLAB.
