Radial (point focussing) Fresnel Lenses

Microsharp thin film Fresnel lenses are an attractive alternative to hot embossed or injection molded lenses in High Concentration Photovoltaic (HCPV) applications.

Bespoke Optics Development

At Microsharp we provide a fully comprehensive design, development and supply service to ensure we provide our clients with the optimum lens solution for their requirements.

We will design and model the complete optical system including both the primary (POE) and secondary (SOE) optics in parallel and then model the completed system using the clients manufacturing and tracking tollerance specification.

By completeing such a rigorous pre-evaluation we can ensure that each client gets the optimum lens design for their particular application.

Lens Construction

We manufacture lenses using a continuous UV casting process that produces exceptionally precise optical factets. Lens structures are replicated onto the surface of a PMMA film, the film is then solvent bonded to a PMMA sheet support structure.
